Friendly Ireland - Generational Perspective

Friendly Ireland

No St. Patrick’s Day would be complete without talking about the friendliest place in the world - Ireland!

Travel likes and dislike vary. Oftentimes, I’m envious when I see a Gen Z vacation because they have abundant energy and the youthful ability to bounce back. This story shares the perspectives of travelers from three different generations (2 Boomers, 2 GenX’ers, and 1 Millennial) visited Ireland and Northern Ireland. This blog and video shares what each person - by generation - enjoyed the most.

Home-base - Dublin

Rented an VRBO atop of the Wax Museum that overlooked the River Liffey. Sadly, I could not find this any longer on VRBO or AirBnb. Here was our view….

The Boomers!

The Boomers enjoyed iconic sites, the Cliffs of Moher and Titanic Museum. They also enjoyed drinking in the Temple Bar area and meeting friendly people.

GenX ‘ers

Drinking, drinking, and a little more drinking. They also enjoyed the vast green landscapes and the art of Belfast. We liked the Auld Dubliner and Cassidy’s. Temple Bar was extremely crowded!

Millennial

The Millennial had to be censored!! Her response is edited to …cocktails, being silly, and bike rickshaw rides in the Temple Bar area.

All generations agree on 1 thing - Ireland has the friendliest people in the world!
